I completely agree that my talents and efforts are based on excellence. I always do aim for this level of performance in anything that I do. Upon completing my Master's Degree in Counseling, I did so by earning a High Distinction / Summa Cum Laude honors with a GPA of 3.85/4.0. In establishing and making the physical therapy practice as successful as possible, we continuously strive for excellence hence we have garnered multiple awards for this medical practice. One of our business values is excellence and this is what we establish in everything that we do in serving our patients, in collaborating with our business partners, and in working with our community members. In order to achieve excellence, integrity is such a crucial value as well. Through integrity, whether someone is watching or not, I always do try to make the right choices as much as possible and put in the best effort as possible in order to achieve excellence.
I always learn the values and core beliefs of the organizations that I work with or I have developed with the organizations I have developed. This is critical to be always guided by the mission of the organization so that way, in almost everything that we do and the choices that we make, this serves as the foundation of such decisions and actions. I always believe in the saying of "the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts" meaning that the organization as a whole and what it tries to accomplish needs to be the focus instead of individual accolades. With my experience as a volunteer coach in numerous basketball teams and as a sport psychology consultant at the Philippine Sports Commission, this is what I continuously share and develop with the teams that I have worked with in the sports world and in the organizations that I have been part of one way or another.
As I love my job as identified on influence above, I am very passionate in getting the job done the best way possible. Hence I do work hard and play hard. Being an advocate of Grit by Duckworth and Growth Mindset by Dweck; effort, passion, and persistence is what they have vigorously researched in being successful in any task that we do. With that, maximum effort is what you will expect from me!
As discussed above, I always aim to have excellent results as much as possible but am always willing to learn and improve as no one is perfect. That is why I am a self-directed and lifelong learner wherein I always try to be better based on the books that I read, advanced education, and continuous certifications earned. It is important for me to have clear rubric for success as a trainer, a leader, and as a teammate so that way, expectations are clear on what it is to be successful in any endeavor and that is why being an achiever is something that drives me and what I value.
With my work style, I am strongly influenced by Paul and Elder's critical thinking. Being exact is based on the intellectual standards of accuracy, precision, significance, logical, and clarity to name a few. Yes, working hard is important to me but more importantly, working intelligently and efficiently is critical thus careful planning and collaboration with subject matter experts is important in order to get things done!
Yes, through positivity, I am solution-focused. That is why I don't subscribe to stress management but I identify it as strength through stress. Indoctrinated with The 8th Habit of Covey and Crucial Conversations by Grenny, McMillan, Switzler, and Patterson; it is important for me to work together in determining the best solution for any problem that the organization is facing.
