KSAACC
As your dedicated and experienced educator, training coordinator / specialist, and instructional designer; based on Kirkpatrick's evaluation of a lasting behavioral and attitudinal change for performance improvement, this is explained further below. I will provide an example using football (soccer) as an example to illustrate what KSAACCs are.
K = Knowledge
A = Abilities
C = Confidence
S = Skills
A = Attitude Alignment
C = Competence
K = Knowledge
Knowledge is about identifying what participants should be informed about with what they need to do and accomplish. This will be based on definitions, concepts, and other knowledge-based information.
EX: Football players need to know what the rules and terms are in playing this sport. Would they know when offside happens? Would they know if an aggressive play warrants a yellow or red card? Do they know the dimensions of the field?
S = Skills
Skill is about performing a specific task or action.
EX: Would a football player be able to dribble the ball with a non-dominant foot across the field? Would the player be able to control a ball in the air with one's head or chest?
A = Abilities
Abilities are based if one can do or perform a task or action.
EX: Are they able to kick the ball from one's penalty goal line to the other? Are they able to time the header through traffic and redirect the ball where it needs to go?
A = Attitude Alignment
Attitude Alignment is about having the right mindset and approach to a given task, behavior, or performance.
EX: Are the athletes willing to trust and work with their teammates? Do they have faith in the coach with the game plan that is set out for them in practices and games?
C = Confidence
Confidence is about having the belief in oneself to perform the skills and abilities especially when it counts.
EX: Are proficient penalty scorers in practice able to perform the same way in games? Would a skilled player in dribbling the ball have the belief to perform the same way in practices and in games when there are opponents?
C = Competencies
Competency is about being able to perform and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities on a consistent basis, even if one is not looking, in the best way possible.
EX: Is the athlete as proficient in practice just like in games? Does the football player have the ability to discern when to use a header, or chest, or bicycle kick when the ball is up in the air?
